Teacher. Murphy Roy Hinson was born October 26, 1891, in Gadsden County, Florida. He received an A.B.E. from the University of Florida in 1924, followed by a Master of Arts degree from George Peabody College for Teachers in 1925. In 1931, he earned his Doctor of Philosophy from George Peabody College. He then entered the teaching profession in Florida.
